TEACHINGS
Our teachers read and study the Bible with the kids so that they can begin to understand how much God loves them, and how He has rescued them, His children. And we pray that the Holy Spirit will open the kids’ eyes to the wonder of God’s amazing grace. We would love for your children to come join us on Sunday morning, so that they too can see this beautiful picture.

SAFETY
As a point of safety, every Cornerstone Kids volunteer goes through a background screening process and training before they begin serving. Our security doors are locked during Children's Church. We also have a security team in place to watch over your children while they are here along with a video security system throughout our children's wing.

TOURS
If you are new, please allow us to tour you through our space. We want our kids and families to feel comfortable in a new environment. Before arriving and to save time on Sunday morning, please pre-register and fill out the playground waiver. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by children's greet team to get you checked in and then meet with our Children's Director, Phillip Lawrence who will tour you through our space!

Nursery (Ages 0-2)

At Cornerstone, we liken caring for our infants in the church to an Olympic relay race. There has never been a team to win the gold medal who overlooked the importance of the first lap. Our nursery is the first lap! We introduce our kids (ages birth-3) to who God is through song, story, play and repetition.
Our hope is to establish a firm foundation for them to build upon as they move out of the nursery and into our Children's classrooms where they will continue to grow in their understanding of the gospel. Most importantly though, we show them the love of God. They may not understand what it is we are teaching them just yet, but they do understand how we make them feel and each child will be known and valued. We believe it is never too early to teach our kids about who God is and what He has done for us and we look forward to sharing this good news with them!

The children will worship God through the Bible lessons, prayer, games, and music. The kids will memorize; scripture, creeds, and catechism questions and answers. The kids will also play interactive games and crafts to support what they are learning about. The younger children will have a dedicated time to play on the indoor or outdoor playgrounds.

We use the Great Commission Publication curriculum and the New City Catechism as our resources on Sunday morning as they are Biblically straightforward, doctrinally sound, and personal. In addition to Sunday mornings, we also have special programs throughout the year, the Easter Egg Hunt in the spring, VBS and Club 45 in the Summer, and a Kids Choir in the Fall. These events allow us to support our vision for kids to grow in their relationships with one another.

GROWING OUR KIDS IN COMMUNITY

Children's Events

Each year, our children's ministry holds a few events that make our children's ministry unique.

Easter egg Hunt

Our Easter egg hunts isn't just about the candy. We gather together on a Saturday morning for treats and coffee and learning about the great exchange, what Jesus did for us on the cross.

Summer VBS

We host 120 kids each summer for our VBS program! We Invite our kids, friends and neighbors for a week long adventure learning about Jesus. We sing, dance, learn, craft and play games M-F 8:30-12:00pm. Signs up begin in April.

CLUB 45

Club 45 is a club that is like youth group but geared for 4th and 5th graders. We play games together and have lots of fun! We encourage you to invite your friends! Wednesday in July, 6:30pm-8:30pm.

Kids Choir

Our Cornerstone kids choir is open to all kids wanting to perform with other kids at worship on a Sunday morning in December. Practices begin early November for 4 weeks.
