PARTNERING WITH PARENTS TO MAKE DISCIPLES
First-time visitors will visit the children’s check in desk where our children's greeters will register your child and give your child a name badge with a parent pick-up tag. Following the worship service, show your parent pick-up tag to the teacher in your child’s classroom and your child will be released to you. Want to save some time, register here:
As a point of safety, every Cornerstone Kids volunteer goes through a background screening process and training before they begin serving. Our security doors are locked during Children's Church. We also have a security team in place to watch over your children while they are here along with a video security system throughout our children's wing.
We ask that all families fill out the waiver below before playing on our indoor or outdoor playground.
We are committed to walking alongside families as they are being shaped in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Cornerstone Kids is a safe, engaging environment where we partner with parents to help children discover that Jesus is at the center of God’s amazing story of salvation. Our desire is for Cornerstone to be a place where every child experiences God’s love and grace. Check in begins at 10:50am and we will start Children's Church at 11am.
"And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."
The children will worship God through the Bible lessons, prayer, games, and music. The kids will memorize; scripture, creeds, and catechism questions and answers. The kids will also play interactive games and crafts to support what they are learning about. The younger children will have a dedicated time to play on the indoor or outdoor playgrounds.
We use the Great Commission Publication curriculum and the New City Catechism as our resources on Sunday morning as they are Biblically straightforward, doctrinally sound, and personal. In addition to Sunday mornings, we also have special programs throughout the year, like VBS (June) and an Easter Egg Hunt. These events allow us to support our vision for families to grow in their relationships with one another.
We teach our children to bow down and worship our King!
Psalm 95:1 Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!
Each aspect of Children’s Church can be viewed as worship, but we specifically prepare our children for corporate worship during our music time. As the kids learn about the different elements of corporate worship, they will be prepared them join their parents in the congregation. During Kids’ Worship your kids will sing fun songs with solid theology. Our hope is that these truths about God will go deep down into the children’s hearts. The children will also learn about prayer, and review catechism questions and memorize the Apostle’s Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, Psalm 100, and Psalm 23 throughout the year. Our vision is that these truths about God will be buried down deep in their hearts, and they will learn to worship God in spirit and in truth.
The Jesus Storybook Bible invites you and your children into the story of God’s Never Stopping, Never Giving Up, Unbreaking, Always and Forever Love. This heartfelt, children’s Bible storybook, which has impacted over 3 million families, introduces children to God’s wonderful story, and the Savior at the center of that story.
The New City Catechism for Kids is a modern-day resource aimed at teaching the core doctrines of the Christian faith to children ages 4–11. This 64-page booklet contains each of the 52 easy-to-understand questions and short answers found in The New City Catechism designed to help children understand who God is and what he has done.
As Christian parents, we are to MODEL to our children in word and deed the attractiveness of a Godward life. INFLUENCE a child’s heart in such a way that s/he is attracted to the gospel of Jesus Christ as it is demonstrated in the Christian life and love of his or her parents. DEMONSTRATE an attractive, Christ-centered life using biblical discernment to test cultural influences, and teaching children how to exercise biblically informed spiritual and moral discernment for themselves. Finally, actively ENGAGE in shaping the culture of our homes in order to incline our children’s hearts toward God. Sometimes we need a little help and encouragement - please check out some of our resources below.
