A BIBLICAL VISION FOR GIVING

A vision for ministry involves a collective effort by all of us who consider Cornerstone to be home. That means that we are to faithfully and joyfully surrender the resources God has entrusted to each of us—as a response to His grace that calls upon us to give generously and from the heart, just as we have received from a lavishly loving God who, because he so loved the world, gave…

Thank you for giving prayerful attention to this important part of fulfilling our vision to join Jesus in His mission to make all things new!

OUR PRACTICE: PLANNED GIVING

At Cornerstone we encourage families to practice planned systematic giving (I Cor. 16:1) through yearly commitment cards. This commitment is not in addition to your regular offering but it is your regular offering. Planned giving allows Cornerstone to effectively and responsibly plan for the future ministry opportunities and meet our current ministry obligations.

QUESTIONS?

Check out the list below for our most popular questions. If there is anything we can help with, please email us directly at

HOW MUCH SHOULD I GIVE?

Like all aspects of our faith, God is always sanctifying us and helping us grow along the way. The first step to giving is making your first gift—no matter how large or small—with a cheerful and grateful heart!

We would then encourage you to take the next step of setting up a recurring gift. The next step is to grow in generosity; challenge yourself to prioritize what you give to the Lord and listen to the Spirit’s prompts in becoming more generous.

As Christ followers, we should constantly evaluate how generous we are because God is constantly generous towards us.

HOW CAN I MAXIMIZE MY WEEKLY GIFT?

Gifts by cash, check, and bank account (ACH) have the lowest transaction cost, meaning more of your money stays directly at your church home!

CAN I GIVE TO A SPECIFIC MINISTRY?

Every amount given to Cornerstone of Lakewood Ranch supports the overall mission and vision; therefore, gifts cannot be restricted for us by a specific ministry or purpose other than the building fund.

HOW DO YOU STEWARD YOUR FINANCES?

Great question. Each month, our financial committee and elders review and analyze monthly financial statements to ensure the resources given to Cornerstone are being stewarded well and maximized towards Kingdom work.

WHAT SYSTEM DOES CORNERSTONE USE FOR DONATIONS?

In 2018, Cornerstone transitioned to online giving via Realm and using the Vanco platform. It is quick, easy, and can be updated at anytime.

Realm is a great way to give because it simplifies the giving process and allows you to create an account and make a contribution in just 30 seconds. Those of you who prefer to set up scheduled gifts can do that quickly and easily with Realm, too.

HOW DO I MANAGE MY WEEKLY GIFT?

Visit Realm's login page and enter your credentials.

There, you can view your dashboard, your transaction history, your payment methods, and more.

WILL I BE ABLE TO SEE A SUMMARY OF MY GIVING WITH REALM?

Yes, log into Realm and click on the Giving menu item to see your transactions through Realm. While Cornerstone will send out a mid year and end of the year giving statement, you can also access the statement at any point by logging in to Realm. Need help with this? Email:

WHAT IS YOUR DEADLINE FOR END OF THE YEAR CONTRIBUTIONS?

Cash and check contributions must be received or postmarked by December 31 to be included on your giving statement for that year. Online transactions must be initiated by December 31.
